Investing With The Shark
Scott examines, and when appropriate, invests in businesses in the franchise and distribution space. He does so individually and through two private equity ventures for which he serves in a managing member role: Franchise Venture Partners and Franchise Motion Capital.
Franchise Venture Partners is comprised of Scott Weber, Kevin Harrington (one of the original “Sharks” on the hit TV Series Show, Shark Tank, and inventor of the infomercial through his “As Seen on TV” empire), Greg Muzzillo (founder of the franchisor Pro Forma), Evan Hackel, founder of Tortal and Ingage Consulting, and Anthony Amos (founder of the Hydrodog franchise).
Franchise Venture Partners applies a Shark Tank like approach to incubate and launch emerging franchise brands. It is in the process of evaluating numerous other opportunities. Scott serves as General Counsel for Franchise Venture Partners and Your Location Lubrication. Currently, his Franchise Venture Partners group holds a significant ownership interest in and is launching the Your Location Lubrication Franchise System. Your Location Lubrication is the nation’s only mobile and on site commercial oil change franchise.
Also, through his family investment entity, H&S Weber Investments, he, along with other business partners, is an owner and manager of Oil to You, LLC which is the franchisee developing the Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach markets for YLL.
Franchise Motion Capital is a private equity investment vehicle that focuses on acquiring and developing mobile based franchise systems. It is headed by Scott Weber, Kevin Harrington and Anthony Amos. It currently owns or holds significant positions in the following enterprises:
Hydrododog Franchise System in the US and all countries other than Australia and New Zealand. Hydrodog is relaunching the brand in the US and sponsoring the Bathe to Save tour.
The As Seen on TV Warehouse Stores. A business based on some of the most successful and well-known products in history, by some of the world’s most famous entrepreneurs. It’s backed by Kevin Harrington (30 years experience in ASOTV and one of the original Sharks on Shark Tank).
Bellebrations, and Cross Creek Wedding Bells. Bellebrations… combining the old world tradition of bell ringing with contemporary sophistication and luxurious convenience.

Gulf Recovery Solutions
Gulf Recovery Solutions rapidly grew to assist businesses across the Gulf Coast to conduct complex business valuations and economic loss assessments necessary to recover hundreds of millions of dollars from the BP Deepwater Horizon settlement fund.
Moon Mountain is one of the leading providers of e-liquids to the vapor smoking industry, distributing to over 400 retail locations in the US and 13 countries. Moon Mountain is launching its line of branded Moon Mountain Lunartic Lounges that feature vapor products and a line of beer, whine, coffee, and liquor.
Tampa Franchise Brands
Scott is the founder of Tampa Franchise Brands, LLC (TFB). TFB is a franchise restaurant development Company. Through TFB Scott successfully worked to raise funds/obtain private equity for, and negotiated for the acquisition rights to acquire the Ker’s Winghouse restaurant and franchise system. He then brought the deal to Third Lake Capital to complete the acquisition. Scott then served as lead counsel on their acquisition of the company and its real estate assets. He continues to serve as its General Counsel and helps to negotiate aggressive schedules for new leases in connection with company growth, as well as advise on operations for 25 company owned restaurants. As its General Counsel he is responsible for legal issues affecting more than 1900 employees.
Through Tampa Franchise Brands he continues to identify and work to raise capital for acquisitions of other restaurant and Franchise concepts.
Other Board Positions
Along with other business partners, Scott launched and built one of the most successful consulting firms handling economic valuation and analysis in connection with the BP Deepwater Horizon Gulf Oil Spill. His company, Gulf Recovery Solutions built on the model successfully employed by franchised public adjustors and franchised debt consolidation and mortgage consulting businesses to enable businesses across the Gulf Coast to recover hundreds of millions of dollars from the BP Oil Spill.
Scott previously served as member of the board of the LED Source franchise system, and its General Counsel.
Fanchise Capital Partners
Franchise Capital Partners was a formation stage franchise focused private equity firm sponsored by Communications Equity Associates. Principals and managing members of franchise Capital Partners included Scott Weber, Chris Sullivan, a founder of the Outback Steakhouse system, Bob Johnson a founder of the Melting Pot and Burger 21 franchise systems, Joakim Bergander, now of Third Lake Capital, Ken Jones now of Third Lake Capital, Randy Zales, Bruce Bloom and others.
Scott was instrumental in working with its other managing members to evaluate acquisition targets, and secure several hundred million in commitments from potential limited partners over a one and a half year period. Its principals decided to devote efforts to other endeavors, in particular when Mr Jones and Mr Bergander took over as managing members, CEO, and CIO of Third Lake Capital, one of the nation’s premiere private family offices.
